When was the last time you fell over laughing? Or had a juggling competition? We’re talking about toys with a major fun factor, playtime that gets the whole family moving. It’s definitely exercise, but it’s nothing like the gym.
Sit still? That’s no fun
Convention says we should sit on sofas but given the choice, which would your kids go for? Why not put their wriggly energy to good use and give them a swing seat.
Good for building core body strength (without even realizing it), make sure you follow the safety instructions when fixing one to your ceiling. A cushioned mat underneath, like the ones you find in the gym, will give them a soft landing.
Relax, the place looks great!
If the kids’ playroom is also the living room, it’s a good idea to give them somewhere to keep their stuff, that way it’s out of sight when they’re not using it. This storage bench doubles as a seat, providing a place to lounge, read and play.
Don’t forget to make space for your things, too. We split the space in this storage unit – the kids get the lower shelves so they can easily get their stuff, while all the grown-up things are safely out of reach above. And it’s not just good for tidying up, a cabinet can also double as an improvised dollhouse.
